One of the things I have been thinking about adding to the blog, is a bi-weekly summary of the top announced mass layoffs in the news. I think that it is important to remain updated on what is going on in this area. Turning a blind eye to the reality of layoffs, often leads people to believe that it can never happen to them. The reality is, that if you are not the owner of the business with sole control then, there is always a chance that you could be terminated.
My report will only track Mass layoffs which I currently defined as over 500. So with that, here is my summary of the last two weeks of major layoff announcements in the news.
